That had an un-secured Wi-Fi router and it seemed that at least 7 other people were logged into it using this customers service for free. Now first of all this is bad for my customer as she would have no idea what was going on over her own network.

But it is also bad for the people who think they are getting something for free. When you jump on to other un-secure networks your always taking a chance that their is somebody on the otherside watching what your doing. Many "hacker types" will set a trap like this (sometimes called a honeypot) to get access to other computers and the information they have stored on them.

If your getting "free" Wi-Fi from somebody you may wish to think again if it's worth it.
