12:34 PM 10/3/2009: Zapping Bug's (inside joke) ...

A few times a year new "techs" show up online that wish to place ads in some of the same places that I do. All fair enough as long as everybody plays by the rules. But every now and then you get somebody that has no clue at all.

So 1st this new "tech" takes the source code from one of my ads and uses my work to make his ad look good. Well surprise, surprise I picked up the phone and told the guy what I thought of him. So he goes and changes his ad. But not trusting him I look around and find out he had been using my code for online ads all over the USA.

Well a nasty email to the free service he was using to host his graphics put a end to all that. And most people would have learned their lesson. So end of story. NOT! He went and got his own domain to post ads from and I thought was just going to fly stright.

Well then I start getting nasty email from a yahoo address. The first I ignored but then he started sending more, pretending to be a customer. Well I guess as this guy is just starting out and has had no customers he had no clue what they would write and his emails just felt all wrong.

Some quick checking and all these nasty emails are comming from the same IP address. Well wanted to confirm what I thought (that it was this loser sending the email) and sent a email to him using one of the email links in his ads.

guess what? The fake, nasty email from yahoo and the responding email from this company both came from the exact same IP address. Which proves they are all from the same person.

Backtraced all this to the guys home address then went onto his online chatroom to show him that he had been found out and to just lay off the BS.

Well this guy now claims he was hacked at his cyber cafe he runs? (hmm a cafe that your running from your house that I backtraced you too?) (seems a bit weird).

And I won't get into the irony of a tech claiming to be a virus removal and security expert getting his (home/cafe) hacked.

Anyway I'll play nice this time and not just "out" the guy. But only this time.

Now back to real work.
