9:13 AM 10/12/2009: Got a computer in...
From a new customer. And they said after they talked with me on the phone they decided to try a online repair service as their price quotes were cheaper then mine. Well it turns out in the end that they were $40 more then their ad stated and that after trying for hours to fix the customers system they were told that the repair could not be done because it was a problem with Microsoft software.
So they got a full refund right? Nope, it was "MicroSoft's problem"
Well it turns out they had a bad power supply (as I guessed in my first phone call with the customer) and no "online" repair service in the world can fix a hardware problem. And Microsoft had nothing to do with it. Just another case of "somebody" online trying to make a quick buck.
In the end the customer paid me less then my first qoute and had their computer back in less time then they spent on the phone with the other "service".
