RenoGeek's Computer Terms Glossary - Analog
All the information that we hear and see is a continuous stream of information to our brains. This stream defines analog data. On the other hand digital information, using just zeros and ones can only estimate this analog data.
Analog data is more accurate than digital data. But, digital data can be manipulated easier by computers and other devices and made to last much longer than most analog data can. It is also much easier to copy digital data then most analog data.
