Digital Signature - a block of data that is attached to documents and files such as PDFs, word processing doc, e-mails and any other type of data. They contain unique code that verifies an identity. Many programs will let end users "digitally sign" a document.

Using digital signatures, people can verify documents that they have received from others as comming from a legitimate source.
